Frequently Asked Questions
What are the server requirements to run Billora?
Billora requires PHP 8.2 or higher, a MySQL database, and Composer to install Laravel 11 dependencies. A standard shared or VPS hosting environment that meets these requirements is sufficient — no special server extensions or PDF libraries are needed.
Does Billora generate PDF invoices, and do I need to install a PDF library?
No third-party PDF library is required or included. PDF export is handled entirely through the browser's built-in Print dialog using a dedicated print stylesheet — simply open an invoice, click Print, and choose 'Save as PDF' in any modern browser.
What exactly is included in the purchase — is this a complete, ready-to-install application?
Yes, Billora is a full-stack Laravel 11 application ready to install on your server. It includes user authentication, a statistics dashboard, full customer and invoice CRUD with line items, tax/VAT, discounts, automatic invoice numbering, five invoice statuses, company settings, a demo seeder for testing, and all source code with a clean MVC structure.
Can I customise Billora to match my brand or add my own features?
Absolutely — you receive the complete, unencrypted source code built on standard Laravel 11 MVC conventions with Eloquent relationships, so you can modify views, add new modules, or integrate additional functionality freely. The clean code structure makes it straightforward for any Laravel developer to extend.
Does Billora support multiple currencies and tax configurations?
Yes, the company settings area lets you configure your preferred currency symbol and tax/VAT label to suit your locale. Tax can be applied per line item on each invoice, and discounts are also supported at the invoice level.
Is Billora multi-user, and are invoices kept private between users?
Billora includes user authentication (register, login, logout) with per-user authorisation, meaning each user can only access and manage their own customers and invoices. This makes it suitable for deploying as a self-hosted tool for individual freelancers or for multiple separate users on the same installation.
