Klaxon gives you flexible page targeting per bar — you can display a bar across the entire site, only on the front page, on all posts, on all pages, or on specific individual posts or pages. Each bar is configured independently, so you can run a site-wide sale banner alongside a checkout-specific shipping deadline notice at the same time.

Each bar has an optional start date and end date, so it will appear and disappear automatically without any manual intervention. You can also enable a live countdown timer on a bar, which displays the time remaining until the end date — ideal for sale deadlines or product launch announcements.

Yes — each bar can be made dismissible, and once a visitor closes it, that choice is remembered via a cookie so the bar does not reappear on subsequent visits. The cookie duration is configurable, so you control exactly how long a dismissal is remembered.

You can place any bar inline anywhere in your content using the shortcode [klaxon id="12"], replacing the number with your bar's ID. All bars also display automatically via the footer without any shortcode if you prefer the global top-or-bottom position options.

Klaxon includes a clean uninstall routine that can optionally remove all plugin data from your database when you delete it. This means no leftover settings, bar configurations, or options are left behind unless you choose to keep them.
